Virtual Accordion

Keyboard: C4-E5

How to Play the Virtual Accordion Online

Play the virtual accordion in three different ways:

  1. With your mouse: Click the keys and buttons.
  2. With your computer keyboard: Use the assigned keys, arranged across four rows.
  3. With a touchscreen: Tap the keys and buttons directly.

You can also combine multiple input methods, such as mouse and keyboard, which may be more comfortable for certain note and chord combinations.

Virtual Accordion Controls

This Keyboard Accordion features 3 full octaves (C3–C6), with the lower octave assigned to the bass buttons and the upper two octaves available on the piano-style keyboard.
It also includes the following controls:

Reverb:

Enable reverb to add a natural reverberation effect to the accordion sound.

Key (Buttons Only):

This setting applies exclusively to the buttons. You can choose the musical key and scale used for the bass and chord buttons. Once selected, both the single-note buttons and chord buttons are automatically adjusted.

Scale (Buttons Only):

Like the key selector, the scale setting only affects the buttons. Based on the selected key, you can configure the layout using either a major or minor scale.

Note Labels:

Choose how note names are displayed. Select between solfège notation (Do, Re, Mi) and letter notation (C, D, E). This setting applies to both the buttons and the treble keyboard and is especially useful for learning. You can also hide note labels completely.

Computer Keyboard:

You can shift the note range assigned to your computer keyboard for the instrument’s treble section (C4–E5 / C5–C6). The bass buttons, chord buttons, and piano-style keyboard are mapped across four rows of keys, matching the layout of the virtual instrument.

Using Mobile Phones and Tablets:

On smartphones and tablets, the instrument is fully touch-enabled, allowing you to play any note or button directly. The functionality remains the same, with support for screen rotation for a more comfortable playing experience.

Screen Rotation (Mobile & Tablet):

Rotate your device to landscape mode for the best experience. This provides more space for the controls and makes it easier to play chords and navigate the instrument.

How to Perform a Glissando on the Virtual Accordion

A glissando can be performed in three different ways on the treble (piano-style) keyboard:

  • Mouse: Click the starting note and drag across the keyboard to the ending note without releasing the mouse button.
  • Computer Keyboard: Simply slide through the assigned keys in sequence.
  • Touchscreen: Press the starting note and slide your finger across the keyboard to the ending note.
