How to Play the Online Virtual Piano
You can play the virtual piano in three different ways:
- With your mouse: Click directly on the keys.
- With your keyboard: Use the assigned keys.
- On a touchscreen device: Tap the piano keys directly.
You can also combine your computer keyboard and mouse to play complex chords.
Virtual Piano Controls
This online piano features 3 full octaves (C3-C6) and the following controls:
Sustain:
Enable sustain to extend note duration and create a natural decay effect, similar to using the sustain pedal on an acoustic piano.
Notes:
Display note names using either solfège notation (Do, Re, Mi) or letter notation (C, D, E). You can also hide note labels for a cleaner keyboard view.
Keyboard (Computer):
Choose the note range you want to play with your computer keyboard (C3-E4 / C4-E5 / C5-C6).
Mobile Phones and Tablets:
On smartphones and tablets, the piano works through touch controls, allowing you to play any visible note directly on the screen. The experience is similar, while also taking advantage of the view controls and screen rotation options for improved usability.
View (Small Screens):
On smaller screens, the keyboard displays 2 octaves at a time. Use the navigation arrows to move to the third octave.
Screen Rotation (Mobile & Tablet):
Rotate your phone or tablet to landscape mode for the best playing experience. This expands the keyboard view and makes it easier to play chords comfortably.

How to Play a Glissando on the Virtual Piano
A glissando can be performed in three different ways:
- Mouse: Click the starting note and, while holding the mouse button down, drag across the keyboard to the desired note.
- Computer Keyboard: This is the closest experience to performing a glissando on a real piano. Simply slide your finger across the assigned keys.
- Touchscreen: Press a note and slide your finger across the keyboard without lifting it.
Using either a computer keyboard or a touchscreen device, you can perform a multi-note glissando by playing several notes simultaneously with multiple fingers.
