  • All types of musical instruments: piano, guitar, keyboards, violin, ukulele, and more.
  • Voice: ideal for singing, vocal warm-ups, and ear training.
  • Whistling: detect notes simply by whistling.
  • Speaker playback: analyze frequencies from songs, virtual instruments, or audio tracks.

Microphone Privacy & Accuracy

Important information to keep in mind:

Privacy

Your privacy is fully protected: no audio leaves your device. Everything runs locally in your browser, nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Accuracy

Keep the following in mind when detecting very low or very high notes:

  • Below G2: detection is generally reliable, but results depend on the sound source (it may be more challenging if not produced by a real instrument, voice, or high-quality speaker with strong bass) and your microphone quality.
  • Above C7: frequency detection becomes more difficult in very high ranges, especially with standard microphones.

Aside from these extreme ranges, the tool delivers accurate real-time pitch detection on most devices and standard microphones.
