With this free online voice recorder, you can capture voice and audio directly from your microphone. It works on desktop computers, smartphones, and tablets without downloading any software, right from your web browser.

How to Use the Online Voice Recorder

Follow these steps to start recording:

1. Click Record, allow microphone access, and start capturing audio. Record your voice, ambient sounds, interviews, notes, or any other audio source.
2. Edit your recording. Once recording is complete, you’ll be taken to the editor where you can trim the audio and apply effects.
3. Download your audio. Choose whether to save the file as MP3 or WAV.

Controls and Features

This audio recorder includes the following controls and functions:

Recording

Click Record, grant microphone access, and start capturing audio.

Auto Gain

Recordings include auto gain processing, which automatically adjusts volume levels for a more balanced recording.

Audio Editor

Once your recording is finished, you’ll automatically enter the audio editor, where you can trim the file and apply audio effects.

Trim Recording

Click Trim and two handles will appear, one on each side of the waveform, allowing you to select the portion of audio you want to keep. You can cancel at any time to restore the original recording length.

Automatic Silence Detection

When you click Trim, the system automatically detects potential edit points by removing leading and trailing silence. You can still adjust the selection manually if needed.

Audio Effects

Enable the FX control to access the Reverb and EQ panels. Turn each effect on and adjust the settings to customize your sound.

Tip: When using reverb, leave a small amount of space at the end of the recording so the reverb tail doesn’t get cut off abruptly.

Loop Playback

To make editing easier, you can enable loop playback and listen to the selected section repeatedly while making adjustments.

Save and Download Your Audio

Download your recording as WAV or MP3:

• The WAV format provides the highest audio quality, but the file size will be larger.
• The MP3 format creates smaller files through compression. The recording will be converted before download.

Create Multiple Versions

You can create multiple versions of the same recording. After downloading, click the “Back” button on the final screen to return to the editor and modify your settings. Repeat the process as many times as you like.

Privacy

Your recording remains only in your browser and is stored temporarily. No audio is uploaded or sent from your device. Once you close the window, the recording is permanently deleted.
